Hi, I am Katie, the founder of feel food club!
This blog is a place where I want to share my mission of living life to its fullest through a balanced, healthy and sustainable lifestyle. I hope to inspire as many as possible with my passion for cooking healthy food that actually tastes and finding fun in living a wholesome and balanced life.
To understand where I come from and why sharing this is important for me, I´ll introduce myself a little bit to you.
I have been born into a family in which eating delicious food has always been one of the most important aspects. Going to markets together, preparing the meals with love and joy and eating with full please. Food has never had the sole reason to stop hunger but has also taken the role of creating and reliving memories and bringing people together. That has been the origin of my passion for the kitchen (or if you would want to call it as my brother does: „Herdanziehungskraft“) and my love for food.
I started out with baking. Which was fun, but maybe not the best decision when being a perfectionist. Whenever things turned out perfectly, that was great. Whenever they didn´t, it was best for everyone not to enter the kitchen… Besides the mess in the kitchen, I was not very calm either because, as I said, I am a perfectionist. Although I sometimes drove my parents crazy with the amount of time that I was using the kitchen, I never stopped creating new dishes and practicing my passion.
However after a while I found my real passion in cooking and devote myself to it. At this time, I also started being very active on social media. And where there is a passion for cooking and time spent on social media, there is no way around encountering trends. Back then I also was young and very easily influencial. You can imagine how this is. As a young girl you on the one hand compare yourself with everyone around on a superficial way, regarding the way you look, and on the other hand believe everything that is said on social media. “Knowledge” that is not backed up by any research and trends that are supposed to be the single thing to make you happy, healthy and skinny.

All of these things quickly came together and started to form a viscious circle that lead into a very unhealthy and unhappy relationship with food. Luckily I had people close to me who pulled me out of this situation before it was too late.
Since then I have learnt and I have grown. Being healthy does not equal being skinny. Being healthy doesn´t mean eating less or only salads. Being healthy does not mean exercising every day.
what Being Healthy really means
Being healthy much more is a lifestyle and a feeling. Being healthy much more means not suffering from diseases. It means nourishing and fueling your body with food that is good for you, not starving it to make it look as if it was healthy. Being healthy means being fit in order to be active and live and enjoy life to its fullest. Being healthy means also having a healthy mind and mindset. It´s being able to live one’s life to it’s fullest, balance and with no restrictions to be at one´s best place.
This is what I have learned and what I want to share with every single one possible. With my blog I want to move away from crazy healthy trends and unrealistic and unsustainable diets that creative an unhealthy relationship with food.
I want to move towards living life at it´s fullest. To be the best version of yourself you can be and feel the best you could. I want to share recipes with you that are made from whole foods to nourish yourself, are easy to make and taste delicious! With my tips and guides I aim to make your life a little bit easier and a bit more wholesome.
I want to make it as easy as possible for everyone to live their lives in balance, a little bit healthier and a little bit happier and show that healthy, wholesome meals can be delicious.
To inspire to do something good for yourself, for others, and the environment every single day and to bring people together and create memories through food.
